Our School Vision, Values and Ethos
Our new school vision is to recognise and realise the unique potential of every individual at Owslebury Primary School. By understanding and empowering each other, we are all building strong foundations for successful lives.
We believe that the privilege of being a small school in such a beautiful rural village community provides huge opportunities for children’s learning to be enhanced and personalised. We embrace these opportunities through our teaching, leadership, governance and community work.
Our school has five ethos values:
Our values will become tangible through the actions and behaviors of all of us; our children, our staff, our governors and our community.
We feel safe, valued, confident and respected.
We believe that these are the foundations upon which effective learning can be built for us all.
We are excited about learning.
We believe that by providing a thoughtful but precise curriculum, and through effective feedback, we are all challenged and supported in equal measure. We see this through the high levels of progress and attainment for us all. We believe that anything is possible.
We take the time to know and value each other as individuals.
We believe that by understanding each other we can best empower, support and therefore realise our potentials. It is important to help each other understand our roles in a world which is now local, national and global.
We love what we do and constantly strive to be even better.
We are committed individually and collectively to a relentless goal of all being the best that we can be (no matter what the journey/knock backs).
We are dedicated to the school and its future.
We believe that as both local and national landscapes change the role of the school will change. We work tirelessly to ensure that at every stage Owslebury Primary School provides the very best education that our community deserves.
