Spring 1 City of Discovery Baghdad 900CE
Happy New Year and welcome to Baghdad 900CE!
The children in Hensting Class travelled back in time for our Hook Day at the beginning of this new term.
Upon entering the classroom they found themselves in a market, with stalls selling many different, exciting and interesting produce. The children had to ask the market traders about their wares and were given letters which they used to solve a riddle.
We spent the remainder of the day learning about this early Islamic civilisation and they also made spiced biscuits which they shared during story time, sitting under the billowing canopy of our 'tent'!
A great time was had by all!
We look forward to learning more about this interesting and fascinating topic.
