Today we started our topic 'The Magic of Toys' with some toy fun! The children arrived at school to find their toy had travelled from their home to school and had been 'on the loose'. Some toys made their way into Mr Flynn's office while others played on the school piano! The children's faces when they saw their toy and a photo of what it had been up to was amazing. The children then completed some writing about their toy answering questions such as, 'where/who is it from', 'why is it special' and 'what is it made of'. The children then played games: blow football, silly sausage, poo bingo, darts, fill your pants, twister, table top curling, the floor is lava, connect4, dobble, top trumps, pick up sticks, snakes and ladders, code breaker, dominos, the floor is lava, scrabble and boggle!!! After lunch the children made the games 'cup and ball' and 'penny twist'.
