Numbots Day
Maths Club Summer 1
Morestead and Marwell Class children had a super start to our Maths Club, finding sticks, putting them in size order and finding the corresponding length using Multilink cubes. Some children used rulers to measure, measured their height and found the difference.
Art Club - Spring 2022
Marwell and Morestead children are having a wonderful time this term at after school Art Club with Miss Pyatt. They have been learning about colour mixing and the artist Keith Haring. In between clay sculpture, pottery painting and scratch art!
Maths Club Spring 2022
We have been learning how to play a range of games that use our maths skills. We started with darts - using adding, subtraction and multiplication. This was a great hit! We followed this with dominoes, learning strategies and hw to score, all using multiples of 5.
We are looking forwarding to learning how to play 21's or pontoon next!
World Book Day - March 2022
WOW! What a day/week. The costumes were great this year! Each class had an author focus, Marwell-Julia Donaldson, Morestead-Roald Dahl, Baybridge-Anthony Browne and Hensting-Michael Morpurgo. Each time the bell rung throughout the day the children had to stop what they were doing and read for five minutes. A great day was had by all. Morestead class made George's Marvellous Medicine! Across the week the children had the chance to share a book with a different teacher, different children in their house group and with a parent which was a HUGE hit.
Chinese New Year - February 2022
This year the children took part in Chinese New Year in the house groups. Citrine made money envelopes, Ruby made dragons, Emerald made tiger masks and Sapphire made lanterns. A highlight of the day was watching the children try and eat their lunch with chopsticks! They ended the day with a fortune cookie each.
