Summer 2 Recycling

Tuesday 7th June - Hook Day

When we arrived at school we noticed the wind had blown the bins over and the field was flooded with rubbish! So, we started our Reduce, Reuse, Recycle topic with some litter picking/sorting. Then we turned our findings into pictograms and block graphs. We made recycling posters for our bins in school to ensure everyone in the school is recycling. We thought about ways we can reduce what we use and made a pledge of three ways we can help our Earth. Finally we learnt about how we can reuse items and turned a glass bottle into a vase for our parents. In between all of this we managed to enjoy some new topic books! The children have an idea of a celebration but we need to look into this further before we announce it.

Thursday 21st July - Celebration Day

The children have worked very hard this half term to create posters for the people of Owslebury Village to persuade them to recycle. The children are extremely passionate about protecting the planet for their future!
